Opening ceremony Big Brother SL

At the 1st of December 2006 the opening of Big Brother was a real fact. 15 participants get in the Big brother house with all the same goal; winning a SL island. The ceremony was interupted by a bad loser, a SL terrorist. I was hard to save my camera for a few scary moments but at the end I loaded with a bunch of shots. At the end I have got 140 minutes of video and reduced that material to 7:30 mins.

Sjaak Bral – Vaarwel 2006

The first day of 2007 started with a conference of the Dutch comedian ‘Sjaak Bral’. ‘Vaarwel 2006′ is a real life old year’s conference that is playing in ‘Diligentia’ theatre in the Hague but this year Sjaak Bral decided to play it in Second Life as well. So he asked me to make an avatar of him and a place where he could do this virtual performance. I searched and found a lot of locations but at the end I did remember that there was a theatre at the water in Grass. This is also the place where I live in Second Life. And when I asked Lee Ludd – the owner of the SIM – if I could build a stage with a video stream on it, he didn’t hesitate for a minute. He was very pleased to have some entertainment in his SIM. There where also some other people who helped me out with solving some stuff that I needed for this event. Lexi Foley made a flashing lightshow and did some nice scripting for the poses on the stool. Wietje Montgolfier offered me diskspace and datatraffic on his webserver and Bobbie Baobob was so kind to be the host and did help the visitors with all the technical issue’s. The SIM was loaded with people two hours before the show started. And during the show it was sometimes not possible to enter the SIM because it was full. Well THAT was excactly what we wanted. We could say that this event was a great succes but ofcourse I saw a lot of things that can be perfectionized for coming events.
